Whether it is gold, silver, or stone, or even your imitations; all of it needs good care and cleaning from time to time. And here comes the main issue.. “How to take care of your jewellery and safely clean them with ease at home?”

Let’s face it!! Everybody’s jewellery needs a good clean occasionally. If you look at your own jewellery you would probably find some tarnishes, or may be scuffed and scratched somewhere. So how do you clean them, maintaining its delicacy?

Okay! So, you’re at the right place, we are here to help you clean your jewellery. Whether it is gold or silver, precious stones or imitations, all of it can be cleaned by following few simple procedures.

1. SORT YOUR JEWELLERY

It can be easy to miss that your jewellery needs a cleaning. May be because you wear it all the time and don’t notice the changes (very common), or may be because it is kept inside the cupboard and you think ‘since we didn’t touch the jewellery for long time, it won’t need any cleaning’. In both the cases check them, because you might be alarmed to see how grimy and dull some of your favourite piece look! 2. MILD CLEANING SOLUTION

Take your jewellery, put it in a flat pan with lukewarm water (please notice that the water should be typically lukewarm). Now add a small amount of gentle dish soap, use a soft cloth or soft bristled brush and gently scrub your jewellery to remove any dirt or grime (if any).

Please note: Be careful while washing light weight or delicate jewellery/ any delicate gemstones or intricate designer pieces.

3. SOAK AND RINSE

After gentle scrubbing, leave your jewellery in the same cleaning solution for a few minutes (soak your jewelry for around 15-20 mins approx.) to loosen any stubborn dirt. Then rinse it thoroughly under lukewarm water to remove dirt/ soap residue (if any).

4. AIR DRY TO WEAR

After thoroughly rinsing, pat dry your jewelry with a soft, lint-free cloth. Please avoid much rubbing on the jewelry as it may scratch the metal/ gemstones. Before wearing/ storing your jewelry, please ensure to air dry it completely. Avoid applying direct heat or exposure to direct sunlight, as it can cause damage to your jewellery.

5. PROFESSIONAL TOUCH

For valuable or delicate pieces, we suggest you to take your jewellery piece at the nearest jewellery store/ professional jeweller for proper cleaning and maintenance.
